Olivier graduated from the Gobelins school of animation, France, in 1991. His mind was already set on Effects animation (Akira, and the work of ILM might have played a part) His first job was at Ellipse studio, on Tintin's adventures Series, as an FX designer. When an opportunity came up with the newly founded DreamWorks animation studio in L.A., Olivier joined the FX team working on 2D features, from Prince of Egypt to Sinbad.
His resume includes various TV series, features, commercials and short movies for a variety of clients - Nickelodeon, Sony, the Line, Sun Creatures, Je Suis Bien Content, Samka, DreamWorks Tv, and others.
He now resides in Australia.

Thanks to the Covid lockdown, nothing keeps us happy like watching things blow up and burn to the ground. That's largely thanks to FX artists like Olivier Malric, Mark Theriaul, and Sylvie Trouve. This electric group, moderated by Ryan Adams head of 2D FX at Jam Filled will shoot the breeze about different styles of FX. Be it 2D, 3D or stop motion - what do they have in common, and when can we watch something else go boom?
