Raised in the serene countryside of São Paulo, Brazil,&nbsp; I now call Toronto, Canada, my home.&nbsp;My journey into the realm of animation was ignited when I first encountered Pixar's groundbreaking 3D animation short, "The Adventures of André and Wally B." This captivating experience kindled a deep love for the enchanting world of CG animation and the mesmerizing creativity that drives the film industry.&nbsp;Soon after, witnessing the behind-the-scenes process of "Ice Age," masterfully crafted by Director Carlos Saldanha, solidified my conviction that 3D animation was my destined path.&nbsp; This revelation propelled me towards specializing in 3D animation and VFX&nbsp;at the prestigious Vancouver Film School. In the years that followed, I immersed myself wholeheartedly in the realms of animation and VFX, accumulating over 8 years of hands-on experience. This journey has graced me with the honor of contributing to a diverse array of Film and TV productions, not only refining my technical prowess but also nurturing my ability to thrive within collaborative team dynamics.

Camila Francisco

The Women Behind Red Ketchup (presented by SPHERE)

Carolina Tran-Yong is a Mexican-born-being that decided her dream was to become an Editor, so there she went!&nbsp;With over 16 years of Editing experience, spanning different fields. Carolina's journey began in&nbsp;Commercial work with GREY Global Advertising Mexico, later she moved on to Reality TV then to TV Promos at Corus Entertainment before landing feet first onto the field of Animation 5 years ago (see how versatile she is? wink wink) Carolina started her Animation career&nbsp;at Brown Bag Films having opportunities to collaborate on Let's Go Luna S1, Creative Galaxy S3, Daniel's Tiger Neighborhood and Nature Cat. She then became&nbsp;the Lead Editor on Wild Kratts S6, and after that took the helm as one of the Lead Editors on Blue's Clues&nbsp;S1, S2, S3 and S4 where she built a solid communication network between Editorial and other Departments. She is currently at Sphere Animation where she was given an incredible opportunity as the Lead Editor on Red Ketchup.

Carolina Tran-Yong

Canadian Screen Award winning screenwriter and novelist Emily A. Weedon was raised in Coe Hill, Ontario and grew up on a subsistence farm with her hippie parents, at times without electricity or running water. She’s had many jobs, including screenwriter, legislative page, cherry picker, receptionist, scenic/set painter, graphic designer, art director in film and television, musician and band leader, film producer, and book cover designer. Weedon had a speaking role in The Bride of Chucky, released 3 EPs of original music, wrote and produced a Fringe Festival play, cowrote, co-produced and co-created two seasons of the multi award winning Canadian series Chateau Laurier. She can’t sew or tap dance and does not care to. She is no fan of authoritarianism, petty or great. Autokrator will be her first published novel. Red Ketchup is her broadcast screenwriting debut. She lives in Toronto with her daughter, Ginger.

Emily Weedon

Jodi Christie is a graduate from the University of Toronto and began her career at YTV and Treehouse, working to implement digital content offerings. Jodi continued on to work for Teletoon as their Business Development Manager and, later, for Corus Entertainment, ensuring broad distribution across Canada for all of their major networks. Jodi later joined Nelvana as Production Coordinator and had the opportunity to work on a 2D series for Nickelodeon, as well as a 3D short film for Treehouse and Apple TV. Most recently, Jodi worked as Production Manager at 9Story/Brown Bag Films on a 2D series for PBS and TVO Kids. Jodi brings a sincere passion for storytelling and animation.

Jodi Christie

Marianne has extensive experience in the production sector, and a lengthy record of achievement. Over a career spanning more than thirty years, she has occupied various positions as producer and executive producer, working in large teams at several 2D animation studios across Canada, like Nelvana, Mercury Filmworks and, more recently, Portfolio Entertainment, where she served as Vice President of Production.&nbsp;&nbsp;Over the course of her career, Marianne has produced and delivered series for prestigious clients including PBS, Disney, Netflix and Teletoon, to name a few.Culbert joined Sphere Animation in 2021 as Head of Production. Her daily tasks consist in overseeing all productions working closely with a team of producers.

Nicole Bauman is a Toronto-based voice actor and production manager. She has been active in the Toronto animation industry for over 7 years, working on a range of projects including Hotel Transylvania: The TV Series, Bravest Warriors, My Little Pony, Riley Rocket, Thomas &amp; Friends, and The Dog &amp; Pony Show. Her voice has been used on various commercial campaigns for clients including SickKids, Danone, Sobeys, and animated series including Red Ketchup, Bibleman, Lazoo, and many others. Prior to her roles in animation, Nicole worked as a news anchor for Global News Radio 640 Toronto and as a web editor for the former youth publication The Magazine.

What happens when a former runaway teen mom is accidentally resurrected in her family's funeral home, giving her a second chance to raise her now-teenage daughter? You get Adult Swim’s Teenage Euthanasia, of course! PFFR and Atomic Cartoons worked together to bring you the show’s second season, and we’re thrilled to say that the show’s creators, Alyson Levy and Alissa Nutting, will be coming to this year’s Industry Conference to tell us all about it, alongside Atomic Cartoons’ Patrick Paradis (Atomic’s Animation Director) and Beccs Champagne (Story Director)&nbsp; Be sure to check out both seasons of Teenage Euthanasia, starring Jo Firestone, Maria Bamford, Bebe Neuwirth, and Tim Robinson; all episodes airing now on Adult Swim!

Lana Castleman is Director, Marketing &amp; Communications for Thunderbird Entertainment and oversees marketing and communications for Thunderbird and its subsidiaries Atomic Cartoons and Great Pacific Media. Previously, she served as Director of Communications for the Writers Guild of Canada, overseeing all internal and external communications for the organization that represents more than 2,500 professional English-language screenwriters in Canada. Lana also held the longtime role of Editor &amp; Content Director at Kidscreen, and led all editorial planning for the magazine and the brand’s online and event content. And she’ll never forget the day Oscar the Grouch wished her “a rotten day.”

Talkin' Bout 'Teenage Euthanasia'

Alissa Nutting is a creator, showrunner, screenwriter, executive producer and author. Nutting is known for her work on “Made For Love”, the Max series she created and adapted from her New York Time’s Editors Choice novel of the same name. Nutting served as showrunner, executive producer, and writer on "Made for Love".&nbsp;She most recently co-created “Teenage Euthanasia” alongside Alyson Levy. The critically acclaimed, animated comedy series premiered its second season this summer on Adult Swim and Max. Set in near-future inland Florida at Tender Endings family-run funeral home, “Teenage Euthanasia” explores themes of family, life, death, unplanned parenthood, multi-generational mother-daughter connection, and redemption. The voice cast includes Maria Bamford, Jo Firestone, Bebe Neuwirth, and Tim Robinson.She currently has projects in the works with studios including Wiip, Anonymous Content, Fifth Season, Paramount, Berlanti Productions, and Tomorrow Studios.&nbsp;Nutting is author of the short story collection Unclean Jobs for Women and Girls and the novel Tampa. Her writing has appeared in publications such as The Norton Introduction to Literature, The New York Times, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Tin House, and others.Nutting received a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida, a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Alabama, and a PhD from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Alyson Levy is an Emmy Award-nominated television producer and writer. Levy most recently co-created “Teenage Euthanasia” alongside Alissa Nutting. The critically acclaimed, animated comedy series premiered its second season this summer on Adult Swim and Max. Set in near- future inland Florida at Tender Endings family-run funeral home, “Teenage Euthanasia” explores themes of family, life, death, unplanned parenthood, multi-generational mother- daughter connection, and redemption. The voice cast includes Maria Bamford, Bebe Neuwirth, and Tim Robinson.In 2018, Levy was nominated for an Emmy for her work on “At Home With Amy Sedaris” in the category of Outstanding Variety Sketch Series. Levy served as Executive producer on the show from 2017 through 2020. Previously, Levy served as Executive Producer on “The Shivering Truth,” which ran for two seasons on Adult Swim, and “Jon Glaser Loves Gear,” which ran for two seasons on truTV. Levy co-created and served as EP on Adult Swim’s “The Heart, She Holler” which premiered in 2011 and ran for three seasons. Additional credits include Xavier: Renegade Angel, and Delocated.Levy is a founding member of PFFR production company and art collective based in Brooklyn alongside Vernon Chatman, and John Lee.

Originally from the sunny streets of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Patrick has spent the last 20 years animating shows for Disney, Netflix, Apple+, and more. Currently at Atomic Cartoons in Ottawa, he's most recently Directed Season 2 of "Teenage Euthanasia" on Adult Swim, and Directed Animation on "Little Demon" for FXX and "Curious George: Cape Ahoy" for Universal Studios.

Patrick Paradis

Rebecca "Beccs" Champagne is a Story Artist and Story Director with a drive to tell stories in collaborative environments. Her past projects include Netflix's "Hilda" and "Hilda &amp; The Mountain King", Apple TV's "Pinecone &amp; Pony" and Adult Swim's "Teenage Euthanasia". Independently, she produces micro animations, zines, comics, and most recently “Showstopper” - a short film debuted at Ottawa’s Animation Show ‘n Tell. Beccs would love to curl up in a little bottle and drift away with the tide.

Dale Hayward is a Canadian director and animator, who believes anything can be animated. He specializes in stop-motion and is the co-founder of See Creature Productions and See Learn Academy. He is the co-director of the award winning short film Bone Mother, and has worked on a wide range of productions, from Netflix’s The Little Prince to Kiri &amp; Lou to commercials for Nike, Tim Hortons and Hot Wheels.
