<p>Martha Sepulveda used to be a kid who dreamt of making her own shows. Today, Martha is a children’s media development executive and producer creating content that inspires and entertains. She is the development director at 9 Story Media Group and has over 10 years of international experience in kid’s media. She has worked for award winning companies like Sinking Ship Entertainment and Breakthrough Entertainment. Martha is also especially proud to be an adviser for the Government of Colombia’s Ministry Of Culture’s Children Media Fund.</p><p>Martha is known for being passionate about diverse content, and representation in front of, as well as behind the screen. She is sought after for her perspectives, her creativity, and her aesthetic.</p><p>Most importantly, Martha is raising a food loving, tree hugging, confident, compassionate daughter. She spends her spare time baking cakes worthy of the Great Canadian Baking Show.</p><p>Martha has a BFA in Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Children’s Media from Centennial College.</p>

Martha Sepulveda

<p>M.R. Horhager is a Filipino-Canadian creator, director, writer and filmmaker from Toronto, Ontario with a decade of experience in the animation industry. His work includes directing the award-winning series “Dot.” produced by the Jim Henson Company, working with Sesame Workshop as a director on “Prankster Planet”, and his current role as an episodic director and creative producer on Nickelodeon’s “Blues Clues &amp; You” reboot.</p><p>His past director credits also include the pre-school series “Chirp”, and the Christmas special "The Curse of Clara: A Holiday Tale", which won a 2017 Canadian Screen Award for "Best Animated Program or Series".</p><p>In addition to his work in broadcast TV, M.R. Horhager is also a prolific creator of original animated content, with multiple projects in various stages of development. He has also written, directed and produced several short films, with many that have appeared in international festivals, including "Extreme Nuts" (2010), "Ball'oons" (2011), "I Hate You Red Light" (2012), "Ringo" (2012), and "Kafka’s Little Fable" (2016). In 2017, he was invited to pitch one of his original projects, “The Distinguished Dinosaurs”, at the acclaimed Annecy International Animated Film Festival.</p><p>M.R. Horhager’s varied experience has given him the opportunity to work on shows and develop content that span from the pre-school demographic up to adult. In addition to his many projects, his newest venture in 2019 is leveraging his strong storytelling ability as a TV writer.</p>

<p><span style="background-color: transparent;">The merging of animation and live action has been around since the start of movies, but we are seeing animation used in feature films and TV series more prominently and seamlessly than ever before. In this discussion, Marc-Andre Baron (Detective Pikachu) </span>Cesar Dacol Jr (Happy Feet 2), Jeff Robinson, and Lon Molnar (HBO's Watchmen)<em style="background-color: transparent;"> </em><span style="background-color: transparent;">will talk about the use of animation in live action, and how to achieve seamless interaction between animated characters and their live action counterparts.</span></p>

<p>Having been in love with art and animation since a young age, Marc-Andre joined the visual effects industry in 2003 and has had the chance to travel the world for his work. After working abroad at Animal Logic and Sony, he relocated to his hometown in Montreal and joined the Framestore team in early 2018. Hard at work from the get-go, Marc-Andre has applied his animation expertise on Deadpool 2, the Oscar nominated Christopher Robin, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and most recently Pokémon: Detective Pikachu. Throughout his career, he has continued to perfect and hone his acting skills, one of his most valuable assets. </p><p>While animation is his full-time passion, Marc-Andre is always keen on mentoring artists and values the talent and thirst for knowledge of his teammates. Marc-Andre always says that he did not pick animation but it chose him and that he is thankful for!</p><p>"Animation is the best job on earth, it's like getting paid to play with Legos in my room".</p>
