<p>Matt Bishop is an Emmy Award winning producer and partner at Sinking Ship Entertainment. Matt began his career in live-action focused on pushing technology from HD to 4K. From there he moved into animation where he started and leads Sinking Ship’s animated production division. At Sinking Ship, Matt and his partners have created 15 original series and over 600 half-hours of children’s television. With shows airing in every country and in over 40 languages, Sinking Ship has grown to become one of North America’s premier kids entertainment companies and has been selected as Playback’s 2016 Kids Company of the Year.  Matt has been the recipient of the prestigious Emmy Award, Gemini Award, Canadian Screen Award, Banff Rockie, Shaw Rocket Prize, Toronto Met Top 30 Under 30 Award, Youth Media Alliance Award and a few Tara Awards.</p>

<p><span>Marge Dean is an Emmy®-winning producer/executive and as Head of Studio at Skybound Entertainment, she is responsible for the development and production of original animated content and is establishing a new production facility for the production of Skybound properties including Invincible for Amazon Prime. <br><br>Known for building studios and animation pipelines, Dean was responsible for the design or re-design of several studios including Columbia-TriStar TV, Warner Brothers Animation, Mattel’s Playground Production, Omation (Steve Oedekerk), Technicolor Animation and Wildbrain Entertainment. Prior to joining Skybound, Dean was the Head of Crunchyroll Studios —the largest anime streaming platform in the world— where she supervised production and development of Crunchyroll Original series premiering in 2020.<br><br>In 2014, a group of women led by Dean took over the non-profit advocacy group, Women in Animation (WIA), revitalizing it. Membership grew from 120 people to over 4500 in five years as well as a reach of over 18,000 animation professionals and students. Primarily powered by volunteers, WIA has grown to a world-class advocacy organization impacting the lives of creative women, transgender and non-binary people around the world.</span></p>

Michael Van Swearingen and Peter Steineck have been heavily involved in their community animation project, Hellavision Television, since 2017, and they sought to establish an in-person working space. What this endeavor led to was a creative studio with a foundation built on community efforts toward unconventional business practices. Heck discusses their experiences in starting a studio during a writers' strike and the post-pandemic online era.</span></p>
