Genna du Plessis
Supervising Producer, Industrial Brothers
Genna du Plessis' 24-year career in animation began as a production coordinator at Nelvana. She moved into Marketing and Creative Services as a Producer for Teletoon, and later Family Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, TMN, and HBO Canada. In 2002, she joined Chuck Gammage Animation as a Producer, working with some of Canada's best and brightest hand-drawn 2D animation artists. After having her first baby, she returned to work, getting her first taste of series production at Cookie Jar, Producing Season 2 of "Busytown Mysteries" for CBC. After baby number two, Genna joined ARC Productions, where she produced several Barbie movies for Mattel and Elena of Avalor for Disney. From there, Industrial Brothers offered Genna the opportunity to produce one of their own IPs; Top Wing (S2). Working for a studio that created their own IP was a dream come true. In 2019, she became Industrial Brothers' Supervising Producer, overseeing the production of the first seasons of Dino Ranch and Kingdom Force. Most recently, Genna oversaw Daniel Spellbound's production, developing and trialing a new shot-centric production workflow for Industrial Brothers' new (awesome) USD pipeline.
